The Ried (single vineyard, cru) Kremser Weinzierlberg is one of the oldest of the Krems Valley. The floor is made of granite and gneiss, covered by different powerful loess. In some places only 30 cm deep roots, lie down on the primary rock which reaches in the middle of the 1000 year wine town Krems on the Danube.

Wine Description

The best of the primary rock, an unusual wine with fine aroma fullness, noble elegance, interesting acid-alcohol game, strong fruit nuances like mandarin and apricot, a gigantic Veltlinerstil with pear finish, Long storage potential.

Dining Recommendation

Manifold companion with light meat, all sorts of fish and seafood as well as asparagus dishes. Highly recommended with powerful dishes.
